CMRT, in conjunction with the MTA, began what is now known as TRIP. By using census data and information provided by transportation and human services providers, CMRT and the MTA were able to assess the transportation needs, issues and constraints of the general public, as well as of older adults, people with disabilities and people with lower incomes.
The TRIP website combines data from multiple sources into an easy to navigate tool to help people find public & private transportation throughout Maryland.
A flat, parallax design sets the backdrop for the many tools available on this site. Using the custom built Trip Planner, people can access real-time directions from a variety of agencies including bus, light rail, taxi and handicap services throughout the Maryland region. They can then plan their routes and explore various methods of transport. The site also features a robust administration area.
