Getting Started - New Hosting Accounts

At signup, you will receive information regarding the activation date of your new account. When your new account is activated, you will need to do the following things in order:

1. If you are transferring to us from another hosting company, you must complete your domain name transfer. Information about Domain Name Registrations and transfers can be found here .
   
   
2. You can access your Administration Area using the Username and password we supplied to you in your Welcome Packet. Logon to your Admin Area by typing the address in your Welcome Packet in your browsers URL window. We recommend that you bookmark your Admin Area for future reference.
   
3. Review your Admin area, and familiarize yourself with the information and resources that are available.
   
   
4. If you are designing a new web site or transfering your own web site files, replace the placeholder page (index.html), found in the root directory of your web site, with your own pages. (The G3 Group will upload your files for you if you supply the files on disk or via email and send them to your G3 Group Account Representative.) NOTE: Your home page should be named "index.html" when you upload your web site or you must delete the placeholder page in order for other file names to show up as the default start page.    NOTE: If you cannot access your email or your web site via FTP, it could be because your domain transfer is not yet complete. Please check your domain transfer first. You can check by going to WHOIS and typing in your domain name. When your domain transfer is complete, the name servers listed on your account records should be:
