I love online tools. Marketing tools intrique me the most because I’m always interpreting large amounts of data. I spend time each week either trying out or searching for tools that can provide time savings or extraordinary value. Here is my current list of favorites.

Criticue – Free site reviews

If you are a developer or site owner, this is a great way to get solid and useful feedback. Remember – it’s not what you or I think about your website – it’s what your users think that matters. Getting unbiased reviews is the best way to gauge how most people feel about your design and content. The cost is low and even free if you provide reviews for others.

Google Analytics – Free

GA continues to be one of the most useful tools in my arsenal and has become the go to tool for most website owners who want a clear picture of their site traffic and referrals. The best part of GA is it serves the non-techie and techie equally well.

Five Second Test

This tool is great to measure people’s first impressions of your design. Like the name implies, the reviews of your page are meant to be quick. By finding out what a person recalls about your design in just 5 seconds you can ensure that your message is being communicated as effectively as possible. This tool is great for measuring landing pages and conversion probabilities. You can take a 5 second test for free.
